Atrani is the smallest town in Italy by extension (965 inhabitants), and is the only town on the Amalfi Coast to preserve its characteristic landscape and ancient fishing village, a true gem and that, with the beach, form a natural theater, topped by the highway that crosses the entire coast. Etruscan port was greek or around the sixth century: around 1000 it was occupied by the Normans  the Swabians, the French and finally by the Spanish. In recent years the history of the village is closely linked with that of the Amalfi Coast.Ascend to the throne in 1734 the Neapolitan Bourbons and the new regents there is a breath of culture and development. In fact, the valley of the Dragon paper mills, textile factories and especially pasta, give the country a more prosperous trade. The village of Atrani has developed around the many churches in the area of the municipality.

The Collegiate Church of St. Mary Magdalene, was founded in 1274 on the ruins of an ancient medieval fortress, by citizens who wanted to thank SM Maddalena for their deliverance from a garrison of soldiers Saracens.Particularly relevant is the church of S. Salvatore de Birecto coronation seat of the Doges, through the imposition of the cap doge. It was built in the tenth century, the most important elements is the bell tower clock that dominates the front of the church and a bronze door of 1087 donated by a wealthy merchant, then a marble pluteus of the twelfth century. Depicting an allegorical scene celebrating-with two peacocks in relief with a central shaft.Church of St. Salvatore de BirectoPure if small, Atrani has a repository of many churches and chapels: the Franciscan Monastery of S. Rosalia. In addition there are the churches of S. Maria del Bando below the Tower of the Ziro, the church of S. Mary Immaculate, the Chapel of St. Gertrude and the church of S. Michael Fuori le Mura, famous for his bizarre kind of construction. The famous German philosopher Walter Benjamin, who is visiting the Amalfi Coast in 1924, he was particularly impressed and described it thus:”The baroque staircase curve slightly upwards towards the church. The gate behind the church. The Litany of the old all’avemaria: introduction to the first class of the transition. If we turn surrounded the church, as God himself, with the sea. (. ..) [https://www.flickr.com/photos/good-news] You see great things! I only saw a dog’s snout on the left side, a woman in a uncomfortable position in the middle and a reclining chair in the sun to the right! 🙂

I like the idea of using the hardware cloth on a slope and having the rocks tumble down! Going to give this method a try!

This really “rocks” my patio, April 8, 2017

Outstanding product. Fits perfectly over our two sprinkler valves that have backflow preventers and manual and solenoid actuators. Our valve setup measures 13″ High by 12″ deep by 13 inches wide and this fits with plenty of room all around. I think it would handle a triple valve setup if the valves are close together. The material is about 3/16″ thick so it does not detract from interior room. Plus, the top is relatively even across so it will have more room than some of the more sculpted artificial rocks. The color is a bit light, as our garden wall is sandstone as is our patio and they are darker. But this fits in well. A great addition to our patio.

It covers a propane tank perfectly and looks good, May 3, 2015

We bought this rock to cover a propane tank. We buried a line that connects the propane tank to our gas fire feature about 10′ away. The rock is very light weight. It’s easy to lift off and put back on again. We were concerned that wind would be a problem. We put it between some rocks, and it feels very secure. So far, so good, and we have a lot of wind where we live. We were impressed how good the rock looks and it has stood up to some scrubbing– we have it near a bird feeder.

Your going to have to dig up the rock that is inbetted in the ground, no? Wouldn’t it be too high to add pavers on top of that

Perfect cover up, March 10, 2017

This review is from: Emsco Group Landscape Rock – Natural Granite Appearance – Large – Lightweight – Easy to Install (Lawn & Patio)

I purchased this rock as a cover for a 20 lb. propane tank, and it’s a perfect fit. I ordered the grey color because it was a great deal cheaper than the sandstone version at the time, and then just painted it a more realistic color to match the stone in our landscaping. It turned out really nice. The quality of the material seems good and should hold up well.
