    Mine did very poorly with his recommended rich soil and only did better when I transplanted it to sandier soil.

    No way dude – Never ever, ever, bury the crown with Rhubarb it will rot and die.
    Leave the tip of the crown just showing through the earth.

    I have been given a rhubarb crown with leave already growing . The root has little noddles is that good ? How far deep should I plant it? Please let me know . Also how much space does it need around it and is it ok to plant in a container ?

    Is it possible to grow a rhubarb crown (Sydney Crimson) in a pot please? We live in south east Queensland and our garden soil is very dry and like rock. I have tried before to grow it in a bed but it did not prosper at all. Please advise if possible how to prepare a soil mic for either a hole in the ground or a mix for a very large pot please?

    Its late fall here and I just dug up a plant to give to my daughter. can she store it in a bucket in the gaurage for the winter or should she plant it right away?
