The florists were kept busy with funeral work and several tried out the special day sales. They have worked success- fully in most instances. Various Notes. The Flick Floral -Co. furnished the decorations for an elaborate home wed- ding last week. Business is good with this firm and it has added a new delivery car to its equipment. A novel floral piece was put out last week by the Lanternier Florists. It was ordered by the Pennsylvania R. R. Co. for the funeral of their wire chief, Harry Cowden. The piece consisted of two telegraph poles made of an assort- ment of flowers, one placed at the head of the casket and one at the foot, and .stretched from pole to pole over the casket were telegraph wires made of chenille. One of the wires was broken and lay on the casket. Miss Heine, secretary for the New Haven Floral Co., has returned to her duties after an absence of several weeks on account of sickness in the family. A campaign is now being carried on energetically for the saving of Fort Wayne’s sliade trees, of wliich the city has always been proud. Adolph Jaen- iche, superintendent of parks, is at the head of the movement. E. G. Hill, of Richmond, Ind., was a visitor last week. Among other trade visitors were Mr. Peterson, of G. Van Bochovc & Bro., Kalamazoo, Mich.; E. Petitt, of the 8efton Mfg. Co., Chicago; D. n. Johnson, of Chicago, and O. F. R.nbbe, of tlie I>. S. Shaw Co.. Toledo. O. S. X. PEOBIA, ILL. John A. Nelson, of Siebenthal & Nel- son, reports a big business in T>ent. The firm has moved from Main street to 22 Perrj’ street, where thorough remodeling was done at largo expense. John Salmon, for the last sixteen years foreman for Charles Loveridge, has moved to a farm. William lioveridgo will act as general foreman. Cole Bros, will have r),i)00 lilies for Piaster. Brooklyn, N. Y.—Tlic incorporation of James Mallon’s Sons is announced, with a capitalization of $.",000. The estab- lishment is located at 12o St. Mark’s avenue, Brooklvn. Incorporators are M. J. Ring, H." C. Mallon and R. M. Mallon.
